Responsible Tourism leads to conservation of wildlife and the environment when handled in a responsible manner. Local communities must benefit from tourism to encourage them to preserve their natural resources. African Latitude actively supports local communities by creating employment, guide training and use of community campsites and other services. Community fees are channelled into support for several primary schools such as in the Loita Hills and the Shompole region. Conservation fees are distributed to the local people in various forms of bursaries and support. By visiting these lodges and campsites, visitors are directly helping in wildlife conservation & community development.
